Representing UBC with members across the lower mainland, this dedicated and enthusiastic team is always on the go.
Throughout the year, the team is committed to at least one practice a week with a separate coaching session.

Basic Information on the team:
Introduction
FDS aims to provide exposure to competitive team ballroom at a localized level and provide the platform for people to pursue further competitive ballroom.
People of all skill levels are welcome to audition. Enthusiasm, dedication, and responsibility are all key elements to a great team.
Demos and Competition Dates
November 22nd – Team Match Demo
December 19th – Holiday Ball Demo
February 13th-15th – Snowball Classic Competition
March TBA– Gala Ball Demo
Summer – Dancesport BC’s Robson Square Demos
Roles and Responsibilities
To join the Formation Team, you must be able to commit to the team and participate in all lessons, practices and events. *Exemptions can be made given extenuating circumstances.
Lessons – Once a week (Team A: Wednesday 8:30pm, Team B: TBA)
Practice – Once a week (Team A: Sunday 5pm, Team B: TBA)
Once performance dates come closer, there will be more practices
Technique Class – It is highly recommended that team members attend to polish and perfect technique (Thursdsays 7:30 pm)
Spares:
· in the case that any Team Member is not able to attend class it is the Spares’ responsibility to fill in
· Spares are not guaranteed to dance at Snowball, however they will be asked to dance at least one performance
· Spares have the same obligations as all other Team Members
As a Team Member, I Must:
- Make all monthly payments listed above on or before the due date.
- Attend all classes. In the case that I cannot attend a class, I must notify both the Coaches and the Team Captain 24 hours notice via phone or email.
- I will attend all meetings. If I am unable to attend a Formation Team meeting I will contact the Team Captain 24 hours in advance by phone or email.
- Attend all costume and shoe fittings as required. If I am unable to attend a fitting I will contact the Costume Coordinator 24 hours in advance via email or phone.
- In the case that I MUST quit the Team, I am responsible for training a Spare or replacement in my place and I forfeit all dues paid.
- I will take part in various fundraisers in order to receive benefit from them.
- If I have a concern or problem I will present it to the Team Captain and the President immediately, so that it may be addressed in an efficient and proactive manner.
